Working with us

What to expect when you send us a part.

What volumes do you run?

L
K

We are not a job shop chasing single orders. We look for steady, repeat work that suits cellular manufacturing. Depending on the part, that can mean thousands of pieces a month, or a few dozen to several hundred for heavy, complex components.

What do you need from me to quote a part?

L
K

Answer to come from the Flinchbaugh team.

How long does a quote usually take?

L
K

Answer to come from the Flinchbaugh team.

Can you work within our logistics and supply systems?

L
K

Yes. We already work to the specific systems and requirements of major customers including Caterpillar, Siemens and SKF. The aim is to run as a seamless extension of your own operation.

How do we know you can meet our supply chain demands?

L
K

Your parts have to arrive when your customers need them, and our schedule is built around that. As an employee owned company we work with real urgency, and Lean methods and continuous improvement run through the whole floor. A modern ERP system drives our on time delivery to MRP II Class A levels.

Industries served

Who we make parts for.

What industries do you serve?

L
K

We machine production parts for capital equipment OEMs, including heavy equipment, heavy truck, oil field, marine, wind energy, industrial bearings, agriculture, rail, HVAC and heat exchangers.

Do you take on aerospace and defense work?

L
K

Yes, through Billet Industries, our wholly owned aerospace and defense company. Work that needs AS9100 or ITAR registration is quoted and made by Billet, under Billet’s own registrations.

Capabilities and capacity

What is on the floor and how much room there is.

What machines do you run?

L
K

Our work is organized into manufacturing channels set up for single piece flow, running CNC machining centers and lathes. The largest machines on the floor are Giddings and Lewis horizontal boring mills.

Do you have capacity available?

L
K

Our plants run around the clock, though not every channel runs on every shift. Across the campus there is typically one to two shifts of open capacity.
