There is no outside parent here and no private equity owner setting an exit date. The business belongs to the people who work in it, so the leadership team is running it on behalf of its own workforce.
That changes the job. Employee owners hold each other to the standard on the floor, and they expect the same of the people making the bigger calls, because every decision shows up in the value of their own accounts.

Mark Wheeler
President and CEO
Joined Flinchbaugh in 2023
Mark joined FEI as Chief Financial Officer. In January 2025 Wheeler assumed additional responsibilities as Chief Operating Officer. He brings to FEI an extensive management background in various manufacturing and service industries. This includes significant experience working in both large, publicly held corporations and privately owned businesses, with leadership responsibility for all disciplines – sales, finance, operations, human resources, purchasing/supply chain, engineering, customer service and IT. Mark thrives on customer contact and is focused on the FEI team achieving its growth strategy while expanding its employee ownership culture.
Mark graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and earned his MBA from York College of Pennsylvania. Mark is active in the community with past service to the United Way of York as a Board member, Allocations Chair and Treasurer. His current service includes volunteering as an Advisory Board member of Penn State York, the Red Lion Area Educational Foundation, and President of the Board of Governors of the Country Club of York.
Mark has three sons, one is a Penn State graduate, with the two youngest also pursuing their Penn State degrees now. Mark and his wife, Tonja, live in Red Lion, he enjoys traveling with family, tennis, platform tennis, golf, and supporting his favorite sports teams.
Rob Campbell
Vice President, Business Development
Joined Flinchbaugh in 2004
Rob joined FEI as VP Business Development. Rob has led the rapid growth of the business, with specific priority on diversification of the customer portfolio to mitigate the risks related to participation in a narrow band of market segments. Rob developed and implemented a low-cost, scalable direct selling model, deploying a network of manufacturers’ representatives for new customer development. Prior to joining FEI, Rob held global sales and marketing positions for a specialty chemical division of Quaker Chemical. Rob earned a Biomedical Engineering degree from Vanderbilt before obtaining an MBA from Lehigh University. Rob was recently President of Lancaster Country Club during the preparation and hosting of the 2015 US Women’s Open golf tournament. Rob is also active in the community and several local charitable organizations. Rob lives in Lancaster, PA with his wife and children. He is a passionate golfer and enjoys skiing, scuba, and traveling with his family.
Tom Chaney
Director of Operations
Joined Flinchbaugh in 2014
Tom joined FEI as an engineering intern, and quickly grew into the Engineering Manager position. Tom was promoted to Operations Manager in 2023, and then Director of Operations in 2024, with responsibility for all operational areas within FEI’s growing business. Tom has demonstrated the ability to leverage his strong technical expertise with the leadership skills needed to develop his team and achieve results. Tom relishes all customer interactions and the challenge of meeting our commitments, within the ever-changing environment of contract manufacturing.
Tom graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2015, and earned his MBA from Temple University’s Fox School of Business in 2021. Tom enjoys giving back to the community through his involvement in church-related missions projects.
Tom is a devoted husband to Mariah and father to two children (with another on the way). Tom enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, reading and cooking. Tom also competes in Ironman length triathlons and 24-hour rucking events, in his spare time!
